Tell us about your Artwork

If you would like to have a painting evaluated for conservation or restoration, please email us with the information and photographs listed below. This allows our conservators to review the work before scheduling an appointment and, in many cases, provide a preliminary idea of treatment needs and costs.

Please include:

• Your name and location and phone (city and state) (Required)

• Artist, if known

• Title or subject, if known

• Date, if known

• Dimensions of the artwork (required)

• Any information you have about the painting, its history, or previous restoration

• A brief description of any damage, loss, or other concerns you would like us to address

Photographs

For each artwork, please include:

• A clear photograph of the entire front (required)

• A clear photograph of the entire reverse (required)

• A close-up photograph of the signature, if present

• Close-up photographs of any damage, losses, tears, cracks, flaking, staining, or other areas of concern

Photographs of both the front and reverse of each artwork and dimensions are required for us to provide a preliminary assessment.

Please submit one artwork per email. If you are submitting multiple works, send each as a separate email and if possible, use the subject line Work #1, Work #2, Work #3, and so on. This allows us to keep the photographs and information for each artwork together and respond to each submission clearly.

Once we have reviewed your submission, a member of our studio will be in touch regarding recommended next steps.
